Choose Safe & Sustainable Sun Protection

CHOOSE SAFE & SUSTAINABLE SUN PROTECTION

How can we sustain Earth’s resources and our oceans for the future?

There are three simple, positive changes we can all make in our day-to-day lives that can help improve the health of our oceans. These changes can be as simple as switching from a single-use plastic water bottle to a reusable one, choosing safe sunscreen for you and your family, and knowing what you’re eating. Sustainable choices can be easy, and we can all join the fight!

How can we sustain Earth’s resources and our oceans for the future?

Sun Protection Survey

Please help us track the impact of this awareness campaign by taking a quick 3-question survey below :

Create your own user feedback survey

FACTS:

  1. Some chemicals found in common sunscreens damage and kill corals including Oxybenzone, Avobenzone, and Octocrylene.
  2. Millions of bottles of sunscreen wash off people onto coral reefs every year.
  3. Some common, FDA approved ingredients in sunscreen products are linked to cancer, hormone imbalances, cellular damage and more.

What YOU can do:

  1. Cover-up with a rash guard and wear a sun hat.
  2. Learn which sun screen ingredients are harmful or not, here.
  3. Choose and use a tested, reef-safe sunscreen.
